“The Devil Devouring My Self Doubt” acrylic on paper, 18" x 18”

I often get lost in my ideas and let them get consumed by self doubt before ever making a mark on an image. Based on images of Satan from Dante’s Inferno as well as Goya’s Saturn Devouring his Children this image is about dealing with your own demons; letting them be a “light-bringer”. Choking down the difficulties in your life can lead to growth and a feeling of brightness in the face of hardship.
